Which tasks can agents take over first in your industryBroken down by industry: where the friction is, where to start

Do not decide what to build yet. Start with your own industry: which tasks keep consuming people, which are ready to run first, and what to watch on data and deployment. Still unsure? Tell us the scenario and we will assess it and give a judgement — including when it is not a fit.

What follows are common service directions, not the limits of what we can do. Whether a scenario is workable depends on how clearly its business boundary is defined and whether the data foundation is there — not on the name of the industry. Industries not listed here can be assessed on your scenario in the same way.

How to start

Unsure where to start? Three routes

Most projects do not begin with a full roll-out. They begin with one small scenario with a clear boundary. Pick the route that matches where it hurts most right now — and it is fine if you are not sure, these three routes exist to help you locate it.

Start with high-frequency Q&A

The same question gets answered dozens of times a week on the frontline. Turn it into Q&A with sources, catch the repetitive part first, and route what cannot be answered to a person.

Ask about this route

Start with data Q&A

To get a number you raise a request and wait for the schedule. Turn recurring work such as daily reports, reconciliation and weekly reports into a single question, while ad-hoc requests stay on the existing process.

Ask about this route

Start with document processing

A contract has to be checked clause by clause against a template; a bid takes three days to assemble. Start with clause comparison and version difference alerts, and you still confirm the final document.

Financial services

Banking / insurance / securities · Every word must be accurate and traceable

Common friction

  • When a compliance rule changes, scripts, manuals and training material all have to change with it; using the wrong version on the frontline is routine
  • Relationship managers are pressed on product detail and only answer after checking several documents; answer too slowly and the client turns elsewhere
  • Research and monthly reports are compiled manually across sources, with time spent finding numbers and laying out pages

Scenarios to start with

  • Policy and product Q&A: one question gets a conclusion, plus which document and clause it comes from
  • Research and monthly report assistance: structure and a first draft first, with the data and conclusions confirmed by you
  • Compliance document review: comparison and difference alerts against the checklist you provide
  • Client Q&A agent: catch repeated questions first, hand the rest to a person, and keep a record of every answer

Data and compliance notes

  • Customer identity and account information is involved; a dedicated environment or private deployment is recommended
  • Every answer keeps its source and operation log, for later review and traceability
  • Compliance conclusions are confirmed by you; we support your requirements and do not make that judgement for you

Manufacturing

Equipment / auto parts · Keep the veterans’ experience, make it findable on the shop floor

Common friction

  • When equipment stops and the veteran technician is not there, the maintenance team can only wait, and the same fault is tried from scratch every time
  • SOPs and process documents have gone through several revisions, but the shop floor still works from an old copy and only finds out when something goes wrong
  • Incoming, in-process and outbound data sit in different systems, so exceptions often surface only at the month-end stocktake

Scenarios to start with

  • Fault diagnosis Q&A: pull up historical handling records by machine type and symptom, so new staff can follow them too
  • Process and quality standard Q&A: answers only from the version currently in force, so the floor does not use the wrong one
  • Quality inspection report assistance: a first draft from inspection records, with conclusions confirmed by the inspector
  • Production and supply chain Q&A: exception metrics alerted against thresholds, without waiting for the month-end stocktake

Data and compliance notes

  • Drawings and process parameters are core material; authorise them by role and keep them out of the shared knowledge base
  • Where workshop network conditions are limited, local or edge deployment can be assessed
  • Whether production data leaves your environment, and which fields, is scoped by you

Retail and e-commerce

Including cross-border · Survive peak campaigns, keep messaging consistent across channels

Common friction

  • Enquiry volume during a campaign is several times normal; temporary outsourced staff step in and one wrong answer on campaign rules becomes a complaint
  • One price or selling-point change means rewriting copy on several channels at once; miss one and it no longer matches
  • When an experienced agent leaves, the new hire has to relearn products and return rules, and takes longer to get up to speed

Scenarios to start with

  • Omnichannel customer service agent: answer rule and tracking questions first, and transfer anything beyond that to a person
  • Bulk product copy and asset generation: one change produces several versions, published after human spot checks
  • Intelligent shopping Q&A: answers from product parameters and stock, with no recommendations that are not grounded
  • Order and membership Q&A: ask in one sentence about channel, category and repeat purchase

Data and compliance notes

  • Mobile numbers, delivery addresses and other personal data are integrated on a minimum-necessary basis, with masking assessed
  • Peak concurrency for campaigns must be sized at the assessment stage; it cannot be patched after launch
  • Cross-border business involves multiple languages and local rules, confirmed item by item before launch

Healthcare

Hospitals / pharma · Reference only, never a substitute for clinical judgement

Common friction

  • Guidelines and literature update quickly; a clinical lookup means searching several databases, and when it is busy people rely on experience
  • Medical record quality control relies on manual sampling, a few dozen records a month, and the ones sampled are not necessarily the problematic ones
  • Follow-up and patient education depend on nurses calling one by one, with the same questions and answers every day

Scenarios to start with

  • Medical knowledge base and literature study: a conclusion together with its source, so you can check the original
  • Medical record quality control assistance: flag suspected issues by rule first, for the quality controller to review and confirm
  • Follow-up and patient education content generation: a first draft by condition, used after clinicians review it
  • Internal policy and process Q&A: fewer repetitive administrative enquiries

Data and compliance notes

  • Patient diagnosis and treatment information is used within a compliance framework; masking and authorisation are confirmed before integration
  • System output is for reference only and does not replace a physician’s judgement or responsibility
  • The deployment model follows your IT department’s requirements

Education

Schools / training · Handle admissions peaks, make teaching material reusable

Common friction

  • Admissions enquiries concentrate into two or three weeks; even with everyone answering phones some calls are missed, and missed enquiries often enrol elsewhere
  • Last year’s lesson plans, exam papers and courseware sit with individual teachers; a new teacher can neither find nor ask for them
  • Academic and student affairs questions repeat heavily; the same sentence is answered hundreds of times a term

Scenarios to start with

  • Admissions and academic affairs agent: catch high-frequency questions during the peak, and transfer complex cases to a person
  • School-based resource Q&A: turn lesson plans, courseware and policies into a searchable resource base
  • Teaching research and courseware assistance: outlines and first drafts, used after teachers rewrite them
  • Student progress and administration Q&A: attendance and grade distribution by class and year

Data and compliance notes

  • Student and minor information is involved; the scope of integration and the retention period must be confirmed by you
  • The accuracy of teaching content is reviewed by the user side; the system does not make the final determination
  • Grade and evaluation data is not used for any automated decision

Government and public services

Counter answers must match the official release

Common friction

  • The same service question is answered dozens of times a day at the counter, with the answer depending on individual memory
  • Applications are returned for missing documents and residents make several trips; complaints tend to start here
  • Policy documents are forwarded level by level, so the version at the counter may already be out of date

Scenarios to start with

  • Policy and service guidance Q&A: wording aligned with the official published text, with the original source attached
  • Application material pre-review: prompt missing items and format issues against the checklist
  • Internal counter Q&A: help new staff find the basis for an answer quickly
  • Official document drafting assistance: structure and a first draft, checked by the responsible officer

Data and compliance notes

  • External answering wording must match the official release, with a human review step in place
  • The scope of resident information, its retention period and access rights must be defined in writing
  • Deployment and data security requirements follow your organisation’s rules

Real estate and construction

Many versions of drawings, contracts and bids, with little reuse

Common friction

  • From land acquisition to settlement, drawings, contracts and variation orders go through a dozen versions, and at settlement they no longer reconcile
  • A technical bid is often due in three days; much of the content could reuse an old bid, but if it cannot be found it has to be rewritten
  • Follow-up notes held by sales advisers are scattered, and the handover breaks as soon as someone leaves

Scenarios to start with

  • Project material and code Q&A: search by project and version, with the effective status marked
  • Contract and variation order review: clause comparison and difference alerts, with conclusions confirmed by the business
  • Bid and tender document assistance: draw material from historical bids, with you finalising them
  • Client follow-up and work orders: records kept in one place, so handovers do not break

Data and compliance notes

  • Contracts, quotations and tender documents are commercially sensitive; set permissions by project and role
  • External output must be confirmed by the business owner before use
  • Engineering material retention and destruction follow the project lifecycle

Logistics and supply chain

High lookup volume; exceptions must be found before they become complaints

Common friction

  • Customer service looks up hundreds of waybills a day, moving back and forth between waybill, warehouse and delivery systems
  • New staff at depots do not follow procedure, so exception parcels are often found only when the customer complains
  • Reconciliation and exception statistics are pulled manually, and by the time month-end processing happens the issue is a week old

Scenarios to start with

  • Parcel tracking Q&A: ask in one sentence for waybill status, with exceptions transferred to a person automatically
  • Depot procedure Q&A: standard actions by role, available to new staff at any time
  • Waybill and warehouse Q&A: exception parcels aggregated by route and depot, without waiting for month-end
  • Reconciliation and report assistance: pull data from the system into a table first, used after human checks

Data and compliance notes

  • Shipper and consignee information is integrated on a minimum-necessary basis and masked when displayed
  • Waybill and tracking data volumes are large; storage period and query performance must be confirmed at the assessment stage
  • For third-party platform integration, interface permissions and data scope are confirmed by you

Cannot find your industry?

The name of an industry is not the basis for a judgement. Describe your business scenario, the state of your data and what you want to solve, and we will reply after assessment on whether and how it can be done; if it is not a fit, we say so plainly. This step is free.

Common capabilities

Six capabilities behind all of the above

The scenarios described across the eight industries above rest on the same set of capability modules. If you would rather not match by industry, you can choose by capability instead.

Enterprise knowledge base agent

Turn policies, product and technical documents into searchable Q&A with sources, reducing repetitive enquiries.

How we work together

Four principles for delivery and acceptance

Boundaries and standards first, then the work. The specific deliverables, timeline and cost are confirmed per project after assessment.

  • 1
Assess first, then discuss the plan

The diagnostic stage confirms the scenario boundary, the data foundation and expectations. If it is not a fit we say so directly, rather than taking the work regardless.

  • 2
    Scope confirmed in writing

Deliverables, acceptance criteria and each side’s responsibilities are written down before start, so repeated additions do not turn into disputes.

  • 3
    Phased delivery

Run one small scenario with a clear boundary first, then decide on expansion from the actual results, instead of rolling everything out at once.

  • 4
    Documentation and training included

Deployment notes, operations manual and team training are delivered together; you can choose to take over subsequent operations yourselves.

Common questions

The six questions asked most about industry solutions

These are principles only. A conclusion specific to your project requires an assessment.

Our data has never been organised. Can we still do this?

Yes, and it is a common situation. We start with a data inventory and usability assessment, sorting what we find into three groups — usable as is, needs cleaning, needs supplementing — and give governance recommendations. Where data maturity is low, we suggest starting with a small scenario with a clear boundary.

How long does an industry solution take from start to launch?

It depends on the scenario boundary, the data foundation and how many systems need integrating. We will not give a single number before assessment — the scope is defined first, then the matching schedule is given and executed after written confirmation.

How is the cost made up?

It is made up of scenario complexity, integration effort, deployment model and whether annual service is included. After assessment we provide an itemised breakdown, and you can select items individually; there is no bundling.

Can it be deployed privately?

Yes. The deployment model (dedicated environment, private, hybrid) follows your data security requirements, and the assessment stage explains how the options differ in operations and cost.

Our industry has regulatory requirements. How do you work with them?

We design the deployment model, permission levels and operation logs to meet the requirements you give us, and hand the relevant material to your compliance or information department for confirmation. The compliance conclusion is confirmed by you; we do not substitute our judgement for it.

Can we start with a small pilot?

Yes, and it is the approach we recommend. Pick one scenario with a clear boundary where the effect can be measured, run it, confirm the results, then decide on expansion. At the end of the pilot we give a judgement on whether it is worth continuing.
